Pashinyan ruled out pressure on the EU: Armenia will not rush the issue of membership

The country will not issue ultimatums

Armenia is not going to force the process of European integration and put pressure on the European Union for accelerated accession. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan, stressing that Yerevan does not intend to use the adopted laws as an instrument for political pressure.

According to him, the country will not issue ultimatums like demanding to be admitted to the EU as soon as possible. The authorities are counting on a calm and consistent dialogue without unnecessary tension, considering European integration primarily as a path to internal reforms and convergence with European standards.

Pashinyan also noted that the final decision on expansion is made by the European Union itself, and it is impossible to influence this political will from the outside. At the same time, even if membership is not granted, Armenia, according to him, will still benefit from modernization and adaptation to modern requirements.
