TRIPP accelerates: Yerevan and Washington are pushing a large-scale transit project

Pashinyan stated that the parties are moving to the active phase of infrastructure and power grid implementation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that work on the TRIPP project ("Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity") has accelerated significantly. According to him, Armenia and the United States have agreed to implement the initiative as soon as possible, while Washington confirms the priority of the project at a high level.

According to the head of government, the discussions have already reached a practical stage. The steps under consideration include the accelerated construction of power transmission lines and related infrastructure necessary to launch the transit corridor. The authorities emphasize that interaction with the American side remains close and constructive.

The TRIPP project involves the creation of a multimodal transport route through the territory of Armenia, which could connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan and fit into a wider international logistics corridor. It was previously reported about plans to create TRIPP Development Company with a possible ownership structure of 74% for the USA and 26% for Armenia, as well as an implementation period of up to 49 years with the possibility of extension.
