The Armenian government has supported the project to create the Pan-Armenian Games Village, allocating a construction site to the World Committee of the Pan-Armenian Games. The new complex is planned to be located in the village of Jrvezh near Yerevan and transformed into a modern sports center.
The project includes the construction of about 600 eco-cottages to accommodate the participants of the competition, as well as the development of infrastructure for training and international tournaments. During the construction phase, which is designed for 5 years, the investor is exempt from paying rent for the use of the forest park area, while it is stated that no tree felling will be required.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the implementation will be phased and largely funded by donations from the Armenian diaspora. The authorities expect that the new facility will become not only a base for the Pan-Armenian Games, but also a venue for major international sporting events.
