Armenia and Firebird AI Sign Agreement for GPU Supplies

The country is expanding access to GPUs and preparing the foundation for a future AI data center

Armenia will receive $25 million worth of computing resources for artificial intelligence thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of High-Tech Industry and Firebird AI. The contract is for five years and involves the supply of high-performance GPUs for the development of the country's AI infrastructure.

According to Minister Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the new capacities will be distributed among startups, research centers, universities, and AI specialists. This will accelerate the development and training of models, as well as expand the practical implementation of artificial intelligence technologies in the economy and education.

The project is being implemented as part of a larger initiative to create an AI data center in the country. Previously, Armenia, together with NVIDIA, Firebird, and Team Group, announced the launch of a $500 million supercomputer complex with a capacity of over 100 MW and thousands of Blackwell GPUs. In the future, the project could expand to $4 billion and tens of thousands of graphics processors, covering areas from robotics to bioscience and space technology.
