The total assets of Armenia's banks at the end of the first quarter of 2026 reached about 13.15 trillion drams, increasing by 16.67% compared with the same period last year. These data are presented in the analytical bulletin of the ARKA agency, based on banks' IFRS reporting.
Compared with the end of 2025, growth was also recorded: over the quarter, the indicator increased by 2.51%, rising from 12.83 trillion drams. This indicates the continued expansion of the banking sector even amid more moderate dynamics within the quarter.
Experts note that the steady growth of assets reflects stronger lending activity and the expansion of financial operations within the system. The country's banking sector is maintaining an upward trend, demonstrating resilience and a gradual increase in capital volumes.
