Armenian banks earned more than 100 billion drams in a quarter: who is leading

The ranking showed profit growth in the sector amid notable jumps by individual players

The total net profit of Armenian banks in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 103.48 billion drams, increasing by 2.27% compared with the same period last year. These data are provided by the ARKA agency, publishing a ranking of the country’s largest banks by financial result.

Ardshinbank became the profit leader with a result of 33.12 billion drams, despite a 7.33% decline year-on-year. Second place was taken by Ameriabank, which posted 19.22 billion drams and growth of almost 20%, strengthening its position against the backdrop of the overall sector. Next comes ACBA BANK with 7.59 billion drams amid a slight decline.

Fourth position was taken by Araratbank, which showed one of the highest growth rates — up 64.07% to 5.12 billion drams. Inecobank rounds out the top five with a profit of 4.93 billion drams, while a noticeable decline of almost 34% was recorded. Overall, the ranking shows mixed dynamics within the banking sector while maintaining overall profitability.
