Corporate income tax collection in Armenia had reached 265.8 billion drams by April 20, 2026. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a government meeting. According to him, the figure increased 5.4-fold compared with 2017, which corresponds to a 444% rise.
The head of government recalled that after the events of 2018, the corporate income tax rate was reduced from 20% to 18%. Despite this, budget revenues rose sharply, which he called the result of systemic changes in the country's economy.
One of the key factors was the reduction of the shadow sector: part of the turnover that had previously gone unrecorded is now officially reported and taxed. An additional contribution came from sustained economic growth — since 2018, GDP growth rates in Armenia have outpaced both global average levels and the indicators of EAEU countries.
