Armenia will allocate 321 million drams to conclude an agreement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and reform the specialized agency. This was announced by Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan at a government meeting.
After the adoption of legal changes, the Civil Aviation Committee will be transformed. The structure is expected to become more independent, while the new rules will make it possible to involve foreign experts and partners in its work, using their practical experience to improve the effectiveness of governance in the sector.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that such steps were long overdue. He stressed that there is a shortage of expertise in the field of modern aviation systems, which must be addressed, including through unconventional solutions and the involvement of outside specialists to modernize the Committee's work.
