Armenian Stock Market Experiences Sharp Revival: Trading Volumes Soar Nearly 3-Fold

Market capitalization exceeded 470 billion drams, and corporate bond transactions increased by 195%

The Armenian Stock Exchange published its results for April 2026, recording a significant increase in activity across almost all market segments. Total capitalization exceeded 470 billion drams, and trading volumes for several instruments increased several times compared to previous periods.

In the stock market, trading volume reached 591.5 million drams based on 170 transactions, representing a 287% increase. The corporate bond market also showed significant activity: transaction volume amounted to 23.5 billion drams (+195%), and the number of transactions reached 1732 for 204 bonds.

Government bonds remained the largest segment. In the primary market, the placement volume exceeded 120.6 billion drams, while in the secondary market, 62 transactions worth over 22.4 billion drams were concluded. The volume of repo transactions increased by 221% and exceeded 18.1 billion drams. In the foreign exchange market, dollar conversion operations amounted to 2.6 billion drams, with the exchange rate fluctuating in the range of 370.75–376.5 drams per dollar.
