Armenia is building the largest bridge in the country's history: 700 meters to the border with Iran

The project in the south of the country has become part of the key "North-South" highway

In the south of Armenia, in the area of Meghri, Syunik Province, construction continues on the longest bridge in the country's history. Its length will be about 700 meters, and it will become an important part of the transport corridor leading towards the border with Iran.

The project is being implemented as part of the 32 km Kajaran-Agarak section of the "North-South" highway. Construction includes large-scale infrastructure: in addition to the bridge, 17 bridge structures, two tunnels with a total length of about 900 meters, and five interchanges are being built here. The total cost of the section is estimated at approximately $215 million.

As noted, the construction site has already become one of the largest infrastructure zones in the country. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also showed the supports of the future bridge, emphasizing the importance of the project for the development of the southern direction and strengthening the transport connectivity of the region.
