Wildberries has started requiring certificates of origin for goods from Armenia and other EAEU countries sold through the platform. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, explaining that to obtain the documents, sellers need to contact the country's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The new requirements are related to changes in customs clearance rules that came into force in Russia on April 20.
For goods of Armenian origin, a certificate of origin is now required, as well as a certificate of conformity and a declaration of quality – if the products are subject to mandatory certification. For goods produced outside the EAEU, a customs declaration will be required. The Ministry of Economy recommended that companies prepare all documents in advance to avoid problems with deliveries and inspections.
Problems for Armenian sellers became known as early as May 1, when some goods temporarily stopped being sold in foreign markets through Wildberries and Ozon. The reason was additional control procedures and verification of product origin. Because of this, some deliveries were delayed in sorting centers. On May 8, Wildberries announced that it had begun to gradually restore sales of some goods produced and labeled in Armenia.
