YouTube enabled monetization in Armenia: bloggers will finally be able to earn officially

The country joined the platform's partner program after years of waiting

YouTube has officially launched its partner program in Armenia. This was announced by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of the country, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan. Starting from May 11, content creators from Armenia gained the opportunity to enable monetization and earn from their videos directly through the platform.

Now Armenian bloggers will be able to join the global YouTube Partner Program system, which includes more than 3 million creators worldwide. The company noted that over the past 4 years, YouTube has paid over $100 billion to content creators, artists, and media companies. The launch of monetization in Armenia is part of the strategy to develop the global creator economy and support independent creators.

In fact, this opens up access for local bloggers to the full YouTube earning ecosystem – advertising, subscriptions, donations, and other platform tools. For the Armenian digital market, this could become an important impetus for the growth of local content, media projects, and new internet businesses.
