Yerevan aims to accelerate the digital transformation of compulsory motor third-party liability insurance and elevate the insurance market to a new level

The Armenian Bureau of Motor Insurers and the Global Association of InsurTech Professionals have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of insurance technologies and compulsory motor third-party liability insurance. The document was signed by Vaginak Yeghiazaryan, Executive Director of the Armenian Bureau, and Aftab Hasan, founder of GAIP. The agreement is part of the preparations for the international forum InsureTek Armenia 2026, which will be held in Yerevan on June 4.

The parties intend to develop digital solutions, automation, and the use of artificial intelligence in the insurance industry. According to Yeghiazaryan, Armenia's insurance sector does not yet hold key positions in the country's financial system, but the introduction of modern technologies can accelerate market growth and increase the efficiency of companies.

The founder of GAIP noted that Armenia is considered a promising platform for international dialogue in the field of insurance innovations. The InsureTek Armenia 2026 forum will be attended by representatives of the insurance and technology business, investors, and experts from various countries. According to Hasan, more and more initiatives and projects are already emerging in the country that can take the industry to a new level.
