From Telegraph to 5G: Yerevan to Showcase Evolution of Communications at "Museum Night"

The Communications Museum will open its doors to guests and offer a journey through technology - from the first Morse signals to modern networks.

The Communications Museum in Armenia will join the cultural events "Museum Night" on May 16 and International Museum Day on May 18. Visitors will be able to see how telecommunications developed in the country – from the telegraph and Morse code machine to payphones, radio communications, and modern digital systems. The exhibition is organized by Team Telecom Armenia, which is the successor to the country's first telecommunications network.

The museum features devices from different eras, allowing visitors to visually trace the path of communication over more than a century. Guests are promised not only guided tours but also interactive experiences: some equipment can be tested to feel how technologies worked decades ago and how much they have changed today.

The organizers emphasize that the project aims to preserve the industry's history and popularize its technological heritage. The museum is located in Yerevan at 24/1 Azatutyan Street and will operate on an extended schedule during the holidays, and is also available for visits by appointment on other dates.
