Armenia's GDP grew in Q1

Official statistics

Armenia recorded economic growth at the beginning of 2026. According to preliminary data from the Statistical Committee, in the first quarter, the country's GDP increased by 4% compared to the same period last year and reached 2.3 trillion drams in current prices.

Per capita, the indicator was about 744 thousand drams, which is equivalent to approximately 1,967 dollars and 1,681 euros. The most notable dynamics were shown by the mining industry, construction, and logistics: growth in these segments was double-digit, with the mining industry leading with an increase of 35.5%.

At the same time, some sectors showed more moderate dynamics or decline. A decrease was recorded in the financial sector, as well as in agriculture, while overall, most economic areas maintained a positive growth trajectory.
