Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that there are no plans to increase the price of natural gas in Armenia. According to him, the current agreements remain stable, and the contract itself is mutually beneficial and long-term.
The reason for the comment was reports in some media outlets about Gazprom allegedly appealing to the Armenian authorities regarding a review of fuel prices. Pashinyan emphasized that no such changes are expected, as strategic terms of cooperation have already been established between the parties and must be observed.
He also reminded that gas agreements between Armenia and Russia are long-term. It was previously discussed that Russian gas supplies to Armenia are carried out at a price significantly lower than the European level, which further confirms the stability of the current agreements.
