The State Revenue Committee of Armenia has launched a Centralized Monitoring Center and implemented the CertScan system, which integrates X-ray scanner data from all border checkpoints and customs terminals in the country. The project was implemented jointly with the American company S2Global as part of the EXBS program with the support of the US government and the US Embassy in Yerevan.
The new platform allows real-time analysis of X-ray images of goods arriving at the border. This is expected to accelerate inspection procedures and increase the accuracy of detecting potentially dangerous goods, contraband, and customs violations.
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia notes that the implementation of the system is part of a large-scale modernization of customs infrastructure. In the future, the project is seen as a step towards strengthening the country's logistics potential and transforming Armenia into a more technologically advanced regional hub.
