Armenia and the United States have signed a comprehensive Strategic Partnership Charter, significantly expanding the format of bilateral cooperation.
The document provides for deepening military-technical cooperation, joint defense consultations, strengthening cybersecurity, and supporting the development of the Armenian defense industry, including the supply of American weapons and strengthening border infrastructure.
A separate block of the agreement is dedicated to future technologies and industry. The parties agreed to develop joint projects in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and the digital economy, including the formation of sustainable microchip supply chains and the training of specialized professionals.
Access to American nuclear technologies and the possibility of implementing small modular reactors for Armenia's energy sector are also being discussed.
The document enshrines the development of infrastructure initiatives, including the TRIPP project, which is considered a basis for transforming Armenia into a regional transit hub.
Additionally, cooperation in the space sector with NASA's participation is envisioned, as well as joint work on the extraction and processing of rare earth metals and other strategic resources critical for high-tech industries.
