Armenia Receives First Nvidia Blackwell Processors

Firebird AI Megaproject Enters Practical Phase

The practical implementation of the large-scale AI project Firebird AI has begun in Armenia following the arrival of the first batch of new-generation Nvidia Blackwell graphics accelerators. 1792 GPUs out of the planned 6144 for the first stage of the megaproject, which is intended to form the basis of a future computing cluster for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing tasks, were delivered to Zvartnots Airport.

Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced that the first stage of the project is estimated at approximately $500 million. He noted that the delivery was an important step in the development of the Firebird AI initiative, implemented jointly with project co-founder Alexander Yesayan, and effectively transitions the program from planning to infrastructure deployment.

The next stage plans to expand investments to $4 billion and install about 42 thousand graphics processors. In the future, this could allow Armenia to become one of the top five countries in the world with the most powerful data centers for artificial intelligence, strengthening the country's position in global technological competition.
