Armenia and the USA have officially signed an agreement on the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project. The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The TRIPP framework agreement was previously initialed in May during the visit of the American delegation to Yerevan. The project envisages the creation of a joint venture, TRIPP Development Company, which will be engaged in the development of transport and economic infrastructure, including roads and railways, pipelines, and communication lines.
According to the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the project is already included in a strategic investment package totaling approximately $2.5 billion. Its objectives include expanding trade and transport links, as well as developing interstate and internal connectivity in the region. However, implementation will be phased and will require additional approvals before final funding is launched.
