Ruben Rubinyan, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, stated that new opportunities are opening up for the country in trade and logistics cooperation with Turkey, including direct trade and the use of the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway route.
According to him, the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway can be used by Armenian companies for both bilateral supplies and transit shipments. This, as Rubinyan noted, creates additional logistics corridors for accessing European and Middle Eastern markets.
He also emphasized that trade operations between Armenia and Turkey can now be carried out directly with simplified customs procedures, without the need for intermediary schemes through third countries.
