Armenian Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan stated that the introduction of artificial intelligence can support the country's economic growth, but at the same time carries certain risks for the labor market.
Speaking in parliament during the discussion of the 2025 state budget execution, he noted that many states are already actively analyzing the impact of AI on economic processes.
According to international experts, the use of artificial intelligence can add about 0.8–1 percentage point to GDP growth.
At the same time, the minister emphasized that technological changes can lead to a transformation of employment: some traditional jobs may be reduced, but new professions and areas of activity will emerge in parallel.
