Armenia bets on AI: Firebird AI factory project declared strategic for the country

A large data center is nearing completion in Hrazdan, set to strengthen the country's position in technology

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the Firebird AI factory under construction in the country is of strategic importance for the technological development of the state. This refers to a large-scale artificial intelligence data center being built near the city of Hrazdan, which is intended to become one of the key infrastructure platforms for the development of high technologies in the region.

During the working meeting, the current status of the project, the stages of equipment installation, and the formation of the necessary engineering infrastructure were discussed. Issues of interaction between state structures and private investors, as well as the timeline for commissioning the facility, were also considered.

According to the Prime Minister, the implementation of the Firebird project will accelerate the development of artificial intelligence, expand research and educational opportunities, and enhance Armenia's competitiveness in the international technological arena. The construction of the first phase of the AI factory has already reached its final stage, including the installation of key equipment and preparation for launch.
