Fake advertisements are being spread on social media on behalf of Telcell Wallet. Users are offered to follow a link and register for a promotion, after which they are asked to enter a confirmation code sent to their phone.
Upon receiving this code, scammers gain access to Telcell Wallet accounts. As a result, they can withdraw money from the e-wallet or gain access to funds on linked bank cards.
The Cyber Police urged citizens not to click on suspicious links on social media, even if they appear to be official offers from well-known companies. Experts also remind that SMS codes, passwords, and other confidential data should not be shared with third parties.
All operations with Telcell Wallet are recommended to be performed only through the official application. Law enforcement officials note that scammers often use promises of free services and lucrative promotions to trick users into revealing access to their financial data.
