Solar Power Plant Appears in Shenavan

A 10 kW station installed with the support of Ucom and SunChild

A new 10 kW solar photovoltaic power plant has been launched in the village of Shenavan, Lori Province, Armenia. The project was implemented by the environmental organization SunChild with the support of the telecommunications company Ucom and aims to reduce the energy costs of the local community.

The generated solar energy will be used to meet the needs of the kindergarten and sports school. Thanks to the savings on electricity bills, the authorities will be able to allocate additional resources for heating the facilities during the winter.

The new station will make social facilities more energy-independent, and also create more comfortable conditions for children and teenagers to study and play sports.

Ucom noted that the development of green technologies is part of the company's long-term strategy. According to SunChild representatives, such projects not only have environmental significance but also help Armenian regions reduce costs, strengthen energy sustainability, and create more favorable conditions for local residents.
