The Armenian government has approved a bill to begin ratification of the Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation, which provides for the implementation of the TRIPP project ("Trump's Route for International Peace and Prosperity"). This was announced by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

Under the agreement, TRIPP Development Company will be established, in which the American side will own 74% and Armenia 26%. The new structure will have the right to use land plots and implement the project on the country's territory for 49 years.

According to Mirzoyan, despite the creation of a joint company, Armenia fully retains sovereignty and jurisdiction over the territory where the project will be implemented. The state will continue to independently ensure security, border and customs control, as well as tax administration.

The TRIPP project was agreed upon last August with US mediation as part of agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It provides for the creation of a transport route that will connect the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with the main territory of Azerbaijan through Armenia. The project includes the construction of a railway, a highway, and energy infrastructure.
