American microchip design software developer Cadence has started engineering operations in Armenia after acquiring Ausdia. This was announced by the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, noting that Cadence's arrival strengthens the country's role in the global semiconductor industry.
Cadence also announced that, effective April 16, 2026, the TimeVision solution, developed by Ausdia for managing timing constraints in integrated circuit design, has officially joined the company's product portfolio.
TimeVision is used in the development of complex microchips and helps engineers analyze and optimize the timing parameters of digital circuits, which is especially important in the creation of modern processors and other high-performance semiconductors.
The expansion of Cadence's presence in Armenia marks another step in the development of the local engineering ecosystem and high-tech sector, which has actively attracted international companies in recent years.
