An educational hub for green technologies is planned for creation in Armenia's Shirak Province. The country's government has approved the transfer of a 0.52-hectare land plot in Marmashen village, Akhuryan community, to the "Gyumri Information Technologies Center" scientific and educational foundation for the project's implementation.
The investment volume for the center's creation will be approximately 100 million drams. The project is scheduled until the end of 2028 and includes the development of educational infrastructure, the construction of six technological residential modules, and the equipping of the site with modern equipment, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
The new hub will operate as an educational center where residents of Akhuryan and neighboring communities, especially youth and women from rural areas, will be able to receive free training in IT fields and technological product development. It is expected that the project will create five new startup companies, and the region will receive an additional impetus for the development of digital and environmental technologies.
