In Armenia, with the participation of European Union experts, discussions have begun on the reform of the electricity market and the future regulation of energy storage systems. The meeting took place at the Public Services Regulatory Commission within the framework of the "EU for Energy" program, aimed at developing cooperation between Armenia and the European Union.
The main topic of discussion was the creation of modern energy market management mechanisms, taking into account European standards. Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Commission, noted that cooperation with international partners will help implement advanced regulatory practices and ensure the sustainable development of the country's energy sector.
Within the framework of the program, specialists will study Armenia's current law "On Energy", analyze the regulatory framework, and identify opportunities for its alignment with the legislation of the Energy Community. Participants will also discuss the development of rules for electricity storage systems, which can play an important role in the development of renewable energy and increasing the stability of the country's energy system.
