Armenia and Greece have agreed to expand cooperation in the energy and water resources sectors. The regulatory bodies of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding, which provides for the exchange of experience and joint work on the development of these industries.
The document was signed by Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia, and Konstantinos Tsimaras, Head of the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste and Water (RAAYE). According to representatives of both sides, the agreement will serve as a basis for strengthening professional cooperation and improving regulatory mechanisms.
Cooperation will cover electricity, gas, renewable energy sources, and water management. In addition, the countries plan to exchange practices in tariff regulation, consumer protection, improving service quality, and creating more sustainable resource management systems.
