Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced that in the first half of 2026, the export of Armenian products to a number of key regions significantly increased. Compared to the same period last year, deliveries to China grew by 83.4%, to India by 81.3%, and to European Union countries by 80%.
At the same time, the country's overall foreign trade remains uneven. According to Armstat, from January to May 2026, the volume of foreign and mutual trade amounted to $7.864 billion, which is 0.1% less than a year earlier. Exports during this period decreased by 3.7% to $2.865 billion, while imports increased by 2.2% and reached $4.999 billion.
Russia remains the largest export market for Armenia with a supply volume of $1.031 billion, although exports to this country decreased by 3%. China ranks second, with goods worth $407.5 million exported, almost double the amount from a year earlier. Deliveries to EU countries reached $460.6 million, and imports from the European Union increased by 25.9%. Among the largest suppliers of goods to Armenia, Russia, China, and Georgia lead the way.
