Armenia has proposed updating the list of enterprises and organizations whose activities may have a harmful impact on atmospheric air quality. The new list includes thousands of companies from various industries that will undergo state registration.
The Ministry of Environment of Armenia has submitted for public discussion a draft order on approving an updated list of organizations affecting air quality. The document includes 2440 legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and other economic entities from Yerevan and all regions of the country.
The list includes enterprises from the mining, construction, energy, food, medical, scientific, educational, and public sectors. Organizations whose activities lead to such emission volumes that the estimated annual use of atmospheric air exceeds 200 million cubic meters must come under state control.
The list is being updated within the framework of the Armenian law "On Atmospheric Air Protection". The Ministry of Environment notes that the implementation of the initiative will not require additional budget expenditures. After the discussion is completed, the updated list of enterprises subject to state registration will be approved. Proposals for the project are accepted through the e-draft.am platform.
