The capital of Armenia has become one of the main foreign destinations for Russians planning summer trips in large groups. Yerevan was among the cities where hotels were most frequently booked by groups of four or more tourists.

According to a study by the travel planning service OneTwoTrip, in the summer of 2026, Yerevan ranked among the top 5 foreign destinations for Russian travelers going on trips in large groups. The Armenian capital accounted for 3.2% of all foreign hotel bookings made by groups of tourists.

Istanbul topped the ranking with 7.9% of bookings. Minsk took second place with 3.5%. Yerevan shared third position with Turkish Antalya – both cities scored 3.2%. Chinese Shanghai closed the top five with a share of 2.6%.

The study is based on an analysis of hotel bookings made by OneTwoTrip users for summer trips in 2026. Yerevan's popularity among group tourists is attributed to convenient transport accessibility, developed tourist infrastructure, and interest in cultural destinations.
