Ameriabank's retail deposit portfolio has reached a new record. The volume of funds placed by the bank's clients has exceeded 1 trillion AMD for the first time, which is an indicator of growing trust in the banking system and the national currency.
As of June 30, 2026, Ameriabank's retail deposit portfolio amounted to over 1.03 trillion AMD. This was announced by Arman Barseghyan, the bank's Director of Retail Banking. According to him, time deposits have shown particularly significant growth since the beginning of the year, with their volume increasing by 19% to reach 423 billion AMD.
At the same time, demand deposits increased by 18%, reaching 446 billion AMD. Deposits in Armenian drams showed the highest dynamics, which the bank attributes to the strengthening of the national currency and a change in clients' attitudes towards saving in drams.
Arman Barseghyan also noted the positive role of the economy's de-dollarization process. According to him, the increasing share of deposits in the national currency reflects clients' growing interest in holding funds in drams and strengthening trust in the country's financial system.
