Preparations are underway in the Armenian city of Hrazdan for the launch of the Firebird AI artificial intelligence center. In the first phase, the project involves the installation of 6,144 NVIDIA Blackwell generation graphics processors. According to the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, the initial investment will amount to $500 million.

After the implementation of the second development phase, total investments in the project could reach approximately $5 billion. Simultaneously, the infrastructure is planned to be expanded by another approximately 42,000 graphics processors, bringing their total number to almost 48,000.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, visited the under-construction center along with Firebird AI co-founder Alexander Yesayan. The delegation was shown the computing infrastructure, installed equipment, and the progress of the final works before the facility's commissioning. According to the minister, the launch of the center will create new opportunities for scientific research, startup development, high-tech companies, and government projects related to artificial intelligence.
