The project for a transport corridor through the South Caucasus is gradually moving from plans to practical implementation, said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

According to Rubio, engineering studies for the future railway infrastructure have already begun in Armenia as part of the TRIPP initiative. The project includes not only the construction of a railway, but also the development of highways, energy and digital infrastructure.

The US Secretary of State called TRIPP an important part of the Trans-Caspian Trade Route. It is expected that the new corridor will create additional opportunities for the movement of goods between Asia and Europe through the territory of the South Caucasus and will contribute to the development of regional trade.
