The new computing complex in Armenia has already begun to attract international AI companies. One of Firebird's first clients is Perplexity, which will use the data center's capacity for its AI search engine and digital AI employee platform.
The data center in Hrazdan was built in just six months. Its initial capacity is 15 MW, and the computing infrastructure includes 6,144 liquid-cooled NVIDIA B200 GPUs. Dell supplied the servers, Schneider Electric provided the power supply and backup systems, and Vertiv supplied the liquid cooling equipment. The complex operates on the NVIDIA DSX platform, which is claimed to provide up to 40% more computing power per megawatt of energy compared to traditional architectures.
The project's construction required negotiations between the Armenian and US authorities, as the supply of such a large number of advanced NVIDIA accelerators required appropriate permits. Firebird intends to significantly expand its infrastructure in the future: by the end of 2027, the complex's capacity should reach 300 MW, and the number of NVIDIA Blackwell and Rubin generation chips will exceed 70,000. In the long term, the company plans to create a computing network in the region with a total capacity of up to 2 GW, including facilities in Kazakhstan.
