Armenia is discussing the possible participation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the implementation of the "Academic City" project. This became known after the meeting of the Ambassador of Armenia to the USA, Narek Mkrtchyan, with MIT's Director for Innovation and Strategy, Professor Anantha Chandrakasan.
The negotiations took place in Boston. The parties discussed the possibility of attracting MIT specialists and academic potential to the development and implementation of the project, as well as launching joint educational programs and broader institutional cooperation.
Chandrakasan noted the importance of the initiative and confirmed MIT's readiness to work with the Armenian side. If the agreements are implemented, the American university will be able to participate not only in consulting the project but also in shaping its educational and research components.
MIT is considered one of the world's leading technological universities and consistently ranks among the top in international ratings.
