Telecommunications in Armenia Generated Nearly 87.5 Billion Drams in Six Months

Revenue Grew Significantly

The revenues of Armenia's telecommunications industry and related sectors continue to grow: in the first six months of 2026, total revenue increased by 5.7%.

According to the Statistical Committee of Armenia, from January to June, companies in telecommunications, as well as the creation and broadcasting of TV and radio programs, earned 87.4 billion drams. In June, the figure was almost 15 billion drams – 9.1% more than a year earlier, and 4.7% higher than the May result.

The main part of the revenue came directly from telecommunications – 81.6 billion drams. Compared to the same period last year, the figure increased by 5.9%. Revenue from the creation and broadcasting of television programs reached almost 5 billion drams, an increase of 2.5%.

The only area where a decrease was recorded was radio broadcasting. Over six months, it brought in about 855 million drams, which is 0.7% less than the result a year earlier. At the same time, the overall dynamics of the industry remain positive due to the growth of the telecommunications segment and television broadcasting.
