Armenians and Foreigners Placed Nearly $350 Million in Casinos and Betting Companies in Six Months

The bulk of the turnover came from betting shops, online games, lotteries, and gaming terminals

The turnover of the gambling industry in Armenia for January–June 2026 reached 135.3 billion drams – about $350 million. Over the year, the figure increased by 5.2%.

The main part of the turnover came from betting shops, online games, lotteries, and gaming terminals – 129.1 billion drams, or approximately $334 million. Casinos themselves accounted for 6.2 billion drams ($16 million), but this segment proved to be the fastest-growing: its turnover increased by almost 20%.

However, these statistics do not mean that Armenians spent $350 million on gambling in six months. The calculation includes the turnover of companies registered in the country, so it may include bets and other operations by clients from abroad.
