Armenia has become the leader in the EAEU in terms of growth rates for two key indicators of the transport industry – freight turnover and passenger turnover.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission, in January–June 2026, passenger turnover in the country increased by 7.3% compared to the same period last year. This is the best result among the states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
An even more significant dynamic was recorded in freight transportation. In the first six months of the year, Armenia's freight turnover grew by 12.1% year-on-year. The republic also took first place in the EAEU in this indicator.
Thus, Armenia demonstrates the highest rates of growth in transport activity among the union countries in two directions simultaneously.
