Armenia and Iran discussed the implementation of a project to build a second bridge over the Aras River, which separates the two countries. Negotiations took place in Yerevan between Armenian Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan and a delegation led by Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgolami.

The parties reviewed the progress of joint infrastructure projects and emphasized the importance of further developing cross-border transport infrastructure. Special attention was paid to the initiative to create a new bridge over the Aras River on the Armenian-Iranian state border.
