In Armenia, the drilling of a 530-meter tunnel on the Kajaran-Agarak road has been completed.
Work continues on the second tunnel, which will be part of the new Meghri bypass road, on the 32-kilometer Kajaran-Agarak section under construction. Its length is 530 meters.
The tunnel drilling is now fully completed. Specialists are currently reinforcing and stabilizing its inner walls, and have begun concreting the base. The new road section is expected to improve transport links in southern Armenia and enhance road safety.
