Starting in September, students in Armenia will be able to use educational artificial intelligence tools as part of a collaboration between Firebird and OpenAI with local educational institutions. A total of 50,000 ChatGPT Edu subscriptions are planned to be provided.
In the general education system, access to AI tools is planned to be opened only for high school students. Teachers will be able to use ChatGPT Edu to prepare assignments and tests, thematic planning, and other routine work to free up time for more creative tasks.
Armenian Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan stated that the education system needs to learn how to work competently with AI. Special guides and video materials will be prepared for educators and students to help them effectively use new tools and reduce associated risks.
