From January to July 2026, Armenia produced 6.08 billion kWh of electricity – 9.4% more than in the same period of 2025. Thermal power plants (TPPs) were the leaders in generation volume, accounting for 2.47 billion kWh, or 40.6% of total output. Over the year, production at thermal power plants increased by a significant 43.8%.

Hydropower plants (HPPs) took second place with 1.62 billion kWh and a 26.6% share. Their generation increased by 7.1%. Solar power plants produced 1.05 billion kWh, providing 17.3% of the total volume, and their indicator grew by 13.5%. Meanwhile, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) produced 939.5 million kWh, or 15.5% of all electricity, but its generation decreased by 33.1%.

Wind power plants provided only 0.6 million kWh, although their production increased by 36.8%. The overall statistics also included electricity from autonomous producers: they supplied 398.5 million kWh to the networks of "Electric Networks of Armenia," and another approximately 230.7 million kWh was produced and consumed directly on-site.
