Armenia intends to launch at least three new satellites into orbit and create a distributed network of ground stations. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at an international space summit in Paris.

According to the Prime Minister, two spacecraft will be designed for Earth observation, and the third will be for telecommunications. In parallel, Armenia plans to develop its own ground infrastructure and competencies for satellite control, reception, processing, and analysis of the data obtained. The network of stations should serve not only national tasks but also support international space missions, as well as the growing demand for satellite data and services.

Pashinyan noted that the country is moving to a new stage in the development of the space industry. Armenia launched its first satellite, ARMSAT-1, in 2022, and a year later, the country's specialists fully assembled and tested HAYASAT-1. In the government program for 2026–2031, the space direction is highlighted as a separate strategic goal. At the same time, the authorities intend to more closely link space technologies with artificial intelligence and develop a national ecosystem of advanced computing within the framework of the "Artificial Intelligence Factories Park" concept.
