Wizz Air will increase the frequency of direct flights between Yerevan and Prague. According to the Czech Embassy in Armenia, from October, the airline will operate flights on this route four times a week, and from mid-December, the number of flights will increase to five per week. The diplomatic mission believes that the expanded schedule will make travel between the two countries more convenient for tourists, students, and business representatives.

Wizz Air has been operating in the Armenian market since 2020, and in October 2025, it opened a base at Zvartnots Airport. To date, the carrier has served Armenian destinations for more than 2.6 million passengers. In December 2026, the airline will base a fourth aircraft in Yerevan. This will allow expanding the network to 21 destinations: flights to Basel and Valencia will start in December, and to Varna from June 2027.

In 2026, Wizz Air expects to operate about 500 flights from Yerevan to 18 destinations and carry about 700,000 passengers.
