A new AI-powered monitoring system has been installed in Armenia to protect nature. The camera appeared in the Twin Lakes area with the support of Ucom and is designed to protect the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge (CWR) and the nearby Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

The complex operates 24/7, recording both day and night. AI algorithms analyze what is happening in the surveillance zone, recording movement and unusual activity. This will allow specialists to more quickly identify cases of unauthorized entry and other potential threats. In addition, the system will help collect information about animal movements and changes in the ecosystem.

Ucom notes that the project continues the company's environmental initiatives to use modern technologies to preserve Armenia's biodiversity. According to Ucom CEO Ralph Yirikian, digital solutions can become not just a means of communication, but also a practical tool for environmental protection.
