Firebird AI has increased its estimated investment for the second stage of the project to create artificial intelligence computing infrastructure in Armenia to $7–8 billion. Alexander Yesayan, co-founder and CEO of the company, reported that previously, the total investment for scaling the project to 50 thousand GPUs was estimated at approximately $4 billion.

The project is designed in three stages. In the first stage, 6144 NVIDIA B300 graphics processors have already been launched. Within two years, another 45 thousand GPUs are planned to be installed as part of the second stage. The third stage involves adding another 60 thousand accelerators, and its cost, according to Yesayan, will be higher than the second stage.

After the completion of all works, Firebird's infrastructure in Armenia will comprise more than 100 thousand high-performance GPUs. The company expects that such capacities will allow the country to enter the world's top ten in terms of available computing resources and occupy a prominent position in the region.

After the launch of the second phase, the project's annual turnover could exceed $2 billion. The expansion also involves the creation of new jobs for Armenian specialists. Currently, thousands of people are already involved in construction, design, and other areas of the project.
