Armenia's economic activity in January–August 2026 increased by 7.3% compared to the same period last year, according to preliminary data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic. In August alone, the indicator grew by 5.2% year-on-year and by 4.5% compared to July.

The most notable dynamics were recorded in construction. Over eight months, the volume of work reached 471,645.9 million drams, which is 24.7% more than a year earlier. In August, growth was 23.8% year-on-year and 16.9% compared to July.

Industrial production for January–August amounted to 2,070,479.4 million drams, an increase of 7.4%. At the same time, in August, industry decreased by 4.3% compared to August 2025, but grew by 1.9% compared to July.

The turnover of domestic trade for eight months reached 4,390,033.6 million drams, adding 0.7% over the year. The services sector, excluding trade, showed higher dynamics: the volume amounted to 3,029,514.9 million drams, an increase of 12.8%. In August, the annual growth of services reached 11.4%, but over the month, the indicator decreased by 1.3%.
